We are getting married! – Visa Approved

So that’s it, i’m going to get married and move to America, I want to scream with excitement. haha.

Told you their was an exciting post due.

I’m actually sat here with a coffee haha.  Definitely one of them people who go by the typical saying “But first.. coffee” just everything about it.. motivation levels through the roof.

So as you read the title.. I want you to know this is definitely not cliché haha. It’s exactly how you read it.

Who remembers the last coffee talk I did with you all, where I was discussing about how I had scheduled my medical and then my embassy interview? If you missed it.. click here to give it a read.

Well I had the medical and interview.

First up the medical really isn’t as bad as some people make it out to be, I had a chest ray, pee sample, blood test, had my body checked over and I had to read some small letters on a display board. Honestly I was probably in their for about 40 minutes. The worst part was probably the £300 ahh it’s like where did all of that money go?

Next was the embassy meeting, pretty simple, you get called to one booth where you they take your fingerprints and take required documents. After about 5 minutes I took a seat again and waited about 15 minutes before getting called again, an american man questioned me on Trevor’s current occupation, where and when we met and the amount of times we have met in between. All I remember after that was getting told my visa has been approved.

So YAY! I couldn’t be happier!

After months of waiting we finally had some great news!

So question is when do I fly out to be with Trevor? the answer is.. This saturday! Oh yeah you heard it.. Saturday 14th October! Couldn’t be more excited.

If you didn’t already know the visa we applied for was the K1 Fiance visa, which means we only have 90 days from the day I enter the USA to get married. So when is the wedding you may be thinking?

Another bit of exciting oh so quick news for ya, it’s the 24th November! Yesssss!

Don’t panic.. I’ve got my dress hehe. Me and Trev are spending a couple days in Minneapolis this weekend to pick out his wedding outfit. Although he has made it clear their are around 12 different shops we may be visiting.. is their time to visit sephora or? haha.

Everything’s coming together now piece by piece and I’m super excited for everything to happen so we can finally be together and as cheesy as it sounds lol spend the rest of our lives together.

I think the best way to describe the way in which I’ve been feeling this past week is definitely overwhelming.. first up my Nan had the biggest cry on my shoulder and she wouldn’t let go of me, it’s been hard with my granddad  passing away not only for my nan but for all of us, so she feels like she’s losing me to, which isn’t the case and i’ve told her that.. I have to get on with my life and be happy, so seeing her like that makes me feel sad but then I’m just so excited to start packing I want to throw everything in and go and see him.

At the end of the day I’m never going to please anybody and whatever decision I chose to make someone would not have been happy.

Secondly it’s just overwhelming because I feel like I have so much to think about when actually if I take a second to really think about everything.. I don’t. It’s definitely hard not being able to help too much plan for the wedding but Trevor has been great at that side of it and it makes me feel relaxed knowing he knows what he’s doing. He is the best.

So there are two sides to that.. I’m super excited and happy for my new adventure with Trevor but I’m emotional seeing my family like that. It’s to be expected like Trevor said he figured they would be like that.

All of my visa paperwork is ready for when I step into the USA, I’ve made like 4 different piles in the spare bedroom of clothes which I’m feeling much more organized about.. and today i’ve made progress by packing my shoes and socks.

There is no one I feel more safe and content with then Trevor.

So that’s the really exiting news! I’m officially moving to america to marry my fiance! 🙂 Keep checking our blog to find out what we are up to next! Keep the 24th November in ya diaries! hehe.
