Our Valentines Date Night!

Roses are red, Violets are blue..

So It’s that time of year again where you can snuggle up in front of a movie whether that be a family member or even a best friend either way it was Valentines day a couple of days of ago and we thought we’d like to share with you on our blog a little exclusive as to what we got up too.

So we decided to go out for a meal that afternoon to a small local restaurant just up the road which Jess couldn’t wait to try out! We both got dressed up which felt lovely that we’d both made an effort. It was really nice getting to chat about things we like and what we don’t like but also having a laugh at the same time, sharing more past stories and learning more about each other.

When we got to the restaurant we sat in a beautifully located booth separated at the back of the restaurant situated by a fireplace and lots of little cute vintage objects around it. We both decided to share mozzarella sticks for our appetizer which tasted great! Jess chose a burger which was stacked with lettuce, pickles, cheese, onions, more onions and.. onions haha, the burger pretty much ended up falling apart.. but with this came a portion of fries. Trevor decided to go for the chicken tenders for his main meal which he loved! accompanied by some fries and one of his favorite dressings ranch. Portion control was great and Trevor ate everything.

Trevor kindly put himself forward to pay for the meal which was a lovely treat. Unfortunately after our food there was no room for pudding to be squeezed in so after we got back home and waited a little we decided to have some of Trevor’s moms beautifully made “Chocolate mayonnaise cake” which we didn’t have time to show you as we ate it so quickly haha.

We hope you have enjoyed reading today’s blog, let us know if you got any gifts and if so what you received, or let us know what you got up to on Valentines day in the comments below.

I don’t believe in Valentine’s as every day should be a love day. This is the typical answer of men. However, humans like to show their emotions especially on time where others are doing so. Thus, It’s hard not celebrate it! I liked how simple was your celebration with a lot of memories and thoughts are coming into mind while I’m writing this comment.

I 100% agree that everyday should be a love day and that you shouldn’t have to wait for that day to show love, almost seems quite fake and as if you have too show love because you know the opposite partner may. Although it was our first Valentine’s Day and we wanted to just make it a special one. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for your kind words!
